Larkfleet Homes has been shortlisted for the ‘Housebuilder of the Year 2016’ title in the Building Awards – opening the possibility of the company picking up a hat trick of three such awards this year.
In July the company was named as ‘Housebuilder of the Year’ in the Construction News Awards and in February it was presented with the trophy as ‘Small Housebuilder of the Year’ in the HouseBuilder Awards.
Karl Hick, CEO of Larkfleet Homes, said: “We are delighted to be a finalist in another Housebuilder of the Year category – and it would be great to secure our third such title.
“Our award success is a reflection of our growing reputation as a successful housebuilder with a strong record in sustainability. It also acknowledges our research and development into new building technologies and our expertise in developing larger sites and age-exclusive housing for older people.
“Alongside investing in research and development we have also invested in a number of community-based projects, including the Larkfleet Community Fund and sponsorship of the Greater Peterborough University Technical College, which we hope will benefit our local and wider communities.
“The Building Awards are all-embracing, holistic awards that look thoroughly at the entire business, from our operations to our research and development methods. The shortlist comprises a number of large construction businesses and we are proud to have Larkfleet’s name amongst them.
“To be named as one of the finalists for this year’s Building Awards is an honour in itself and we look forward to the awards event later in the year.”
The Building Awards celebrate their twenty-first anniversary this year and are some of the most prestigious and coveted awards in the UK construction industry. Run by Building magazine, they are known throughout the industry as a recognition of the success and achievement of those in the construction sector.
